Who we are and what do we do
My name is Marek and I set up Hen Cloud Tree Care in Leek, Staffordshire Moorlands. My wife Helen keeps an eye on me while providing invaluable help when needed. We are a small, local, tree care business. We see trees as something very valuable to the environment that we live in: to enjoy their shade when it’s hot, to witness birds hopping in the branches, to only just make the shape of an owl calling her friends at dusk. Cutting trees down, should be the last resort, in our opinion.
Sometimes trees get too big or become unsafe for us, our property or livestock, and something has to be done about it. Sometimes trees are not doing as well as we would like them to. Some trees do much better when regularly pruned. Some trees have been planted or grow in the wrong place and the time has come to do something about it. Some trees have contracted a disease that is making them fail - some of them will need to be removed sooner or later due to risk to the public, livestock, or property.
We can help if you the trees in your life have become a challenge or need any kind of help. I am a qualified tree surgeon. Because of our size, we can offer reasonable rates.
